Thanks to his support, the Church of St. Nicholas in Niš was restored in 1722, and the Church of St. Procopius in Prokuplje reconstructed in 1754. On these occasions he went into debts that even his successor Georgije Popović could not settle. When he crossed Sava and Danube with the Patriarch Arsenije IV, the authorities in Vienna challenged his right to an eparchy.
