TURKISH REGISTERS

The first inventory made in 1498 describes it as an important tax unit, as its two monks were bringing the income of 328 coins. Less than two decades after that, there is only one monk living in the Monastery, and the income is 50 coins. During the fourth or fifth decade of the 16th century, the Monastery became stronger. It again housed two monks, and delivered the income of 915 coins. In 1578 it was subdued to the estate of Sanjak-Bey, with the income of 249 coins.
